Test Design Techniques - Foundation



The ‘Test Techniques – Foundation Level’ workshop provides delegates with practical guidance on the application of test case design techniques (and measures of test coverage), and advice on the choice of which of these techniques and measures to use. The aim is to provide the delegate with a toolset of techniques from which they can then choose most effectively.



The objectives for introduction to test techniques:

  • To give attendees an awareness of the benefits of using formal techniques to design test cases
  • To give attendees experience in applying commonly used test design techniques
  • To give attendees an appreciation of how test techniques are appropriate for different systems under test and/or different levels of risk
  • To give attendees an appreciation of how these techniques are used to create test cases and measure test coverage

Who should attend the course

This training is suitable if you have recently started or are about to start working with software testing, for example as a tester, test manager or test developer. The course is also suitable for developers wish to design better unit tests, and business analyst and project leads working tightly with test engineers.


Prerequisites

There are no formal entry requirements but 3-6 months experience of software testing would be beneficial
